ALLEN GILMER

Founder, Advisor, and Former CEO/Chairman of Enverus (formerly Drillinginfo)

Biography

Allen is the Founder of Enverus, formerly Drillinginfo, the energy industry’s leading data, software, and insights company. Today, Enverus’ innovative technologies empower more than 5,000 customers across 50 countries, and Enverus has more than 1,000 employees in offices across the globe. Prior to founding Enverus, Allen was an independent oil and gas producer and entrepreneur of three successful oil and gas companies that have sourced more than 100 million barrels of oil.

In addition to leading Enverus for 16 years, Allen is the immediate Past Chairman of the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners (TIPRO), past Texas Chair and National Board member of the DOE’s Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC), and member of the Development Board of the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), Advisory Board of UTEP’s College of Science, Colorado School of Mines Petroleum Engineering Advisory Board Member, and several other nonprofit organizations. He was selected as UTEP’s Distinguished Alumni in 2017, Austin Business Journal’s Large Company CEO of the Year in 2014, Top 7 Upstream Influencers in 2014, Texas Monthly’s Texas Outstanding Geoscientist in 2012, E&Y’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Central Texas in 2012, and Top 100 Energy Influencers in 2011. Allen is also a member of the Texas Business Leadership Council, a statewide network of CEOs and senior business executives who advance a long-term vision of a prosperous Texas in a globally competitive business environment.

He received a B.A. in Geology from Rice University in 1984, and an M.S. in Geology from UTEP in 1987.

Will Cullen

Biography

Will Cullen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Montana State University and an MBA and a MS in Finance from the University of Denver. Prior to joining LongPoint, Cullen served in various capacities for Shell beginning in 2007 as a Development Economist, followed by a placement into Shell’s A&D group as Manager of M&A and Commercial Finance. In 2015, Cullen was appointed as MLP Business Analysis Lead.

Dr. Ehsan Davani

Senior Production Engineer and Team Lead at Quantum Reservoir Impact (QRI)

Topic: Application of AI/Machine to Reservoir Analytics

 

Biography

Dr. Davani is a senior production engineer and team lead at Quantum Reservoir Impact (QRI), with an extensive knowledge in artificial lift optimization, integrated production modeling, as well as digital oil field and asset management. He was involved in field development planning and artificial lift optimization projects in seven giant fields in Colombia and Peru. Most recently, he is focused on well spacing optimization in the Permian Basin through the application of AI/Machine Learning.

Prior to QRI, Dr. Davani worked in Chevron and EDG, where he led a teams to build and implement integrated production systems for assets in the Gulf of Mexico, Angola, Nigeria, and Thailand. Dr. Davani is a registered Texas professional engineer (PE), and co-author of several technical papers and the book “Viscosity of Natural Gas at High-Pressure and High Temperature.” He also serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering (JNSGE).

Efe Ejofodomi

Infill Well Business Development Manager at Schlumberger

Topic: Future of Well Spacing for US Onshore Operations

 

Biography
Efe Ejofodomi is the North America Infill Well Business Program Manager for North America Land, Schlumberger, with over 13 years of leveraging technology to drive outstanding performance across numerous unconventional basins in multiple countries, including the US and Argentina. In his 13 years with Schlumberger, Ejofodomi has held a variety of roles spanning operations, technical, and management functions, all focused on innovative, versatile approaches to leverage technology in evaluating, enhancing, and optimizing reservoir and well productivity for upstream assets.

He currently manages integrated services opportunities, driving and capturing business growth in new and existing markets. He plays a strategic role in developing project specific commercial and technical alignments utilizing the breadth of Schlumberger products, technologies, and services to achieve outperformance on Infill development programs. Ejofodomi earned a MS degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2006. He is also an active member of SPE and AAPG.

Warren Rustand

Public Speaker, Dean of EO Leadership Academy; CEO of Summit Capital Consulting LLC

Biography

The common thread that permeates Warren’s Rustand’s experience is one of vision, strategy, executive leadership, and achievement. He has created, led, and grown many successful private, public, and not for profit entities, and brings extensive background of public and private leadership to the Energyship Summit.  He has a passion for family, entrepreneurship, public policy, and community.

Corporate Leadership

Warren is the former CEO of Providence Service Corporation (NASDAQ; PSC) a $2.1 Billion social services and healthcare company. He has previously served as Managing Director of the investment banking group SC Capital Partners, Chairman and CEO of Rural Metro Corporation, a $600 million, publicly traded emergency services company, and Chairman and CEO of TLC Vision, the world’s largest Lasik eye surgery company. He has served as Chairman/CEO of 6 other companies.

He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for over 50 public, private, and not-for-profit organizations. The range of these organizations is from multibillion-dollar public companies, to midsize, early stage, and startups. As CEO he has helped take three companies public, two of which are among the largest in their industry.

Public Leadership

In 1973 Warren was selected as a White House Fellow through a nationally competitive process. He served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Commerce and co-led the first ever Executive Level Trade Mission to the Soviet Union. He joined the staff of Vice President Ford on the day he was sworn-in. In August of 1974 when the Vice President became President, Warren was asked to serve as Appointments Secretary and Cabinet Secretary to the President.

In furthering his interest in community service and public policy, Warren created a seminar in Washington DC., titled “Public Policy and the Private Sector.” For 30 years Warren chaired this event which invited CEOs to meet with individuals in the highest levels of government, media, and lobbying. Over 4500 individuals have participated in the Seminar.

Giving Back

Warren has served as the Global Chairman, of the World Presidents Organization, a group of 10,000 CEO’s in 100 countries. He was also co-founder and global Chairman of L3, a worldwide leadership group, which is focused on one’s contribution during the second half of life.

Warren is the co-founder and Dean of Faculty at the Entrepreneurs’ Organization’s Leadership Academy in Washington DC. Warren is a frequent speaker on subjects of leadership, business, families, and personal development.

Warren received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Arizona. He has been the recipient of many honors and awards including: The Visionary Leadership Award, the Distinguished Citizen Award, and the 25 Year Achievement Award, election to the Sports Hall of Fame, the Robshaw Award, named a White House Fellow and Father of the Year in his hometown.

Andrew Fastow

Former CFO of Enron

Topic: Rules v. Principles – Ethical Leadership in Rapidly Changing Environment

 

Biography

Despite today’s more regulated and enlightened business environment, we continue to witness “Enron-esque” failures of corporate governance. Enron’s former CFO will make observations about how the ambiguity and complexity of laws and regulations breeds opportunity for problematic decisions and will discuss what questions corporate directors, management, attorneys, and accountants should ask in order to ensure that their companies not only follow the rules, but uphold the principles behind them.

Andrew Fastow was the Chief Financial Officer of Enron Corp. from 1998 – 2001. In 2004, he pled guilty to two counts of securities fraud, and was sentenced to six years in federal prison. He completed his sentence in 2011, and now lives with his family in Houston, Texas. Andrew currently provides litigation support at a law firm, and he consults with Directors, attorneys, and hedge funds on how best to identify potentially critical finance, accounting, compensation, and cultural issues.

Andrew received a BA in Economics and Chinese from Tufts University and an MBA in Finance from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Prior to joining Enron, he was a Senior Director in the Asset Securitization Group at Continental Bank N.A.

Since his release from prison, Andrew has been a guest lecturer at universities and corporations, and at conferences for management, corporate directors, attorneys, accountants, and certified fraud examiners. Andrew was recently keynote speaker at the United Nations’ Principles of Responsible Management Education Conference, the FBI’s Advanced Financial Crimes Seminar, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Annual Conference, the American Accounting Association Annual Conference, and the Financial Times’ Outstanding Directors Conference.

David Ramsden-Wood

Biography

David Ramsden-Wood, the creator of #hottakeoftheday, began his career in energy as a Reservoir Engineer for Anadarko in 2001. Throughout his career, he has held roles across the analytical spectrum, including Completion and Production Engineering and Business Development. One of David’s key skillsets is his ability to analyze the flow of funds throughout the opportunity set and interpret market trends. This led to David becoming co-founder and COO to multiple oil and gas teams and entities such as OneEnergy Partners (2018 Sales) and Franklin Mountain Energy, LLC.
